LetS start this blog with "ummmmmmmmmMMmm"!!! So after a long week of work, Jen and I decide to treat ourselves to dinner. Since we love trying new restaurants (GrandLux being one of them, Halima is my witness), I decided to surprise my dear friend Jenny who claimed not be hungry...riiiiiiiiiiight ;) We went to a new restaurant on the corner of Prospect and Hillhurst Ave. in Los Feliz as it has always caught my attention. So, we valet and walk into this very spacious and mesmerizing front patio. I mean it wass super chill and there are tea lights every where and the staff very welcoming. So we look at the menu and everything just sounds super delicious AND miraculously Miss Jenny now has an appetite...ummm humm. So this is a Mediterranean spot, I order chicken kabob, tabolueh with sweet potatoes fries. Miss Thang orders Rosemary chicken, garlic mash potatoes and veggies. ARE YOU SERIOUS??? SHE MAKES ME LOOK SOO BAD lol. While our order is in, they bring out some bread....oh my, the bestestest bread in the universe!!! It is a pizza bread with herbals and garlic salt with VIRGIN olive oil. ARE YOU SERIOUS??? I AM ABOUT TO GO BACK NOW AS I AM TYPING. Meanwhile motor-mouth Jenny is talking (jk), I am in HEAVEN and the owners are eye-balling us. Long story short they come to the table and they fall in love us and the dessert is on the house ladies and gentlemen. You actually have to go up to the bar area where all the desserts are in display (it was magical) and then they bring your selection to the table. All in all, it was brilliant, not mention the art! They have a huge mosaic sculpture of a rose in the patio that stands about 15 ft. Do us a favor, go check it out! Dishes range from 15-35 and it is well proportioned. Very trendy too, swing by 1700 Hillhurst., 323.666.1166. We will definitely be gracing the grand openning. Jenny, we did it again *dust my shoulders off*!!!
