After falling in love with hip hop in 1985, rapping became Chunk Manson's thing! The Puerto Rican rapper from Long Island spent over 17yrs on the underground scene and now emerges to get his rightful recognition and place in hip hop history as a solo artist. He has managed to stay current through every evolving era and has become amaster at his craft. As a songwriter and performer Chunk has beenmaking moves in the music industry since he was 11 yrs old. He wrote several songs in 1991 thru 1994 for a variety of groups on MCA records and toured across the globe opening shows for MTVs/Hot97 DJ Scribble. Traveling, learning the business and being the front man for many groups became a great way for Chunk to hone his skills and polish up his act. In 1995, Chunk went on to form the duo Uno Dos/ Uno Dos Productions with his older brother Cee. They began producing for andcollaborating with other artists such as Mobb Deep, Alchemist, Fat Joe, Lake, IM3, Mark Morrison and many more. After making a name for themselves as producers they went on to release an independent album titled "Amongst the Elite" in 2003 which got Chunk and his brother global recognition and a world-wide buzz! During a promotional runfor that release Chunk managed to get the attention of the legendarymulti-platinum artist/music mogul Jay-Z. The hip hop superstar A&R'dChunks music and gave him direction and input, this let to the releaseof the Roc la Familia presents Uno Dos mixtape hosted by Cipher Sounds in 2005 which did wonders for Chunks fan base. In 2006 Chunk still under the Monica Uno Dos released his single "Crush" produced byBlackout Movement (MIMS single"this is why I'm hot") and received national radio spins ranging from Texas to Hawaii. Platinum producers Marley Marl, Havoc and Just Blaze all have givenChunk pointers on how to be great. Moguls like Chris Lighty, 50 Cent and Jay-Z have all complimented Chunk on his drive, ambition and talent. Check ol' boy out.
